What happened to Joe's Goals?

I have a hosted website where I run a phpBB forum. Sometimes when I click the button to post a message, I get the same error screen, but the comment has been successfully posted. I just click back and reload and my comment is there. It's infrequent, and around-workable, not like joesgoals.com's problem. I've often wondered what the cause was, so I look forward to someone with a good answer. I always figured it was a garbled database request or something.

You can't tell from this side of the webserver what happened. The actual error message is logged on the server; the "Internal Server Error" is just a generic "Something went wrong with the program" error because it has to display something.
