Mounting Mystery

Museum-quality mounting query: Can anybody suggest a supplier for mounts (the black "platforms") like [link to Pier 1] this or [link to Novica] this? Thanks for your time.

I don't know the answer, but the guys at The Compleat Sculptor in NYC usually know the answer to questions like this.

Oh, and I think what you are looking for is a "base fabricator".
