It appears to be increasinglycommon, but it's hard to discuss it if there isn't terminology identifying it. In addition to a name for that kind of photo, is there a verb for having this done to you ( e.g. my ex just xxx'd me)?
Screwtubed wins. I mean, this isn't just double or triple entendre, this is a veritable n-tendre with n defying belief. posted by effugas at 5:07 PM on August 9, 2006 [1 favorite]

"Bodcasting" is genius. I hate love you, Milkman Dan. posted by blag at 5:39 PM on August 9, 2006
Thanks for all these suggestions. I guess that means that there's no existing term for this stuff. It does seem to be a new genre of porn, somewhere in between amateur, voyeur, and snuff. A name for it would be useful, so you could say something like, "is this legit amateur, or is it xconned?" posted by alms at 8:52 AM on August 10, 2006

What!?!? I can see the amateur and the voyeur, but what possible connection does this have with snuff other than it's undesirable (at least in retrospect) and involves a camera?
Snuff is a powerful word, and with good reason. Using the word in this context just cheapens it. posted by stinkycheese at 3:30 PM on August 10, 2006
The connection to snuff (and the distinction from amateur and voyeur and gonzo, etc) is that it's fundamentally non-consensual. (Which leads to the triple-entendre, xcon.) posted by alms at 6:25 PM on August 10, 2006
But this wasn't fundamentally non-consensual. There was consent for the photographing, but no consent for the exhibition. posted by stinkycheese at 8:29 AM on August 11, 2006
The public distribution is fundamentally non-consensual. But I agree, murdering people while you rape them is far worse than posting naked pictures of them on the net. Sorry if that wasn't clear the first time two times around, stinkycheese. posted by alms at 2:33 PM on August 11, 2006
