Where to find WriterTools for Alphasmart 3000?

Does anyone know where to find or buy the software WriterTools for the Alphasmart 3000 or enable a word count feature?

I recently purchased a used Alphasmart 3000, which is a portable word processor. It works well, but lacks a word count feature. I was able to find a software package called WriterTools, but the company that makes it is out of business.

I've looked on eBay and around Google, but cannot find anyone who sells the product. Alphasmart doesn't have it.

Any ideas on how to track it down and/or get it? At this point I'd settle for any other solution for a word count besides counting each word individually. :-)

Contact AlphaSmart Tech Support at 888-274-2720. They bought the software when the Writer Tools company folded, and they can sell it. Note also this from their Web site:
