Question: Small-scale Print Design- On the Web

Where can I find a good print-design professional on the web- who'll do a small job?

My wife is opening a private therapy practice and wants to create a small flyer on cardstock- an oversize bookmark, really- to promote her business. It'll have her name, her picture, her address, and 4 or 5 sentences describing her practice. Neither she nor I have any significant skill at layout- and I argue that we should let a professional do the job.

Except it's a *very small* job. I'd expect to email someone the content and have them put together a couple layouts, then perhaps tweak the one she prefers. All told, I'd guess this is little more than an hour's work.

Can anyone recommend anyone doing this sort of service? It seems too small a job for the places I've found...

I know one or two people who could potentially help you, they both do freelance and are quite good. The fact that they live in places that are not huge cities means they can charge more reasonable rates than Lance McFroofypants in his Manhattan studio. Email in profile if you're interested.

Pretty small- maybe 500 tops? Any more is silly, since she may likely change the location of her office in a year or two. We'd be happy to give the person the printing business, but thought it more likely someone would do the design in a common format and we'd have someone else do the actual printing. But it'd be fine to have a one-stop solution.

Once you've hired the artist and finalized the flyer look into gotprint to send the completed files to and have it printed for less. I have several customers that print quite a few flyers a year and they are quite happy with the service. Good Luck!
