Question: Sick day activities

I'm home sick from work today, but not bed-ridden. Are there any small life-maintenance-type projects I can do while I'm home? I've already cleaned out my email, done laundry, searched for new music, organized my digital photos and checked out my daily sites. Suggestions?

Wow, you've done all of that before 9am PST? You deserve a nap. Go back to bed.

Or you could rearrange your furniture, clean out your refrigerator, donate or sell any unused clothes that are in your closet, fix any minor repairs around your house/apartment, or bake a nice pie for tonight's dinner.

Hmmm... Junk drawer clean -out, organizing photos (going thru them send duplicates to friends that are in them, throwing out ones that are blurry , completely unidentifiable), giving the fridge a good scrub, organizing / underwear sock drawers and throwing out ones that i seem to avoid, elastic ruined, going thru medicine cabinets and tossing out old toiletries/meds, etc.

Email friends you've not been in touch with in a while. Another thing that's nice to do when you're a bit sick but don't need to be in bed all day is to go on virtual walking tours.

I didn't want to infect everyone else. Besides, sometimes you just need a random day off.

Thanks for the suggestions! My roommate scrubbed the fridge last week, so I'm making a pile of clothes for Salvation Army and organizing all the crap that gets thrown in drawers...and catching up on cartoons.

This might sound over-ambitious, but often when I'm home sick I perform a "Getting Things Done" reset. That is, I sort out *everything* and then put it in its proper place. But then I'm something of a slob, and this is the sort of thing that needs done now and then around my house. :)

Tidy up the tags on your music collection.
Clean one bathroom in your house.
Give your houseplants some love.
Brush the cats.
Back up your important files.
Write a letter.
