Removing defunct RSS feeds from blog?

I checked my blog the other day and found that there are five RSS feeds coming out of it when I really only want two (one for posts and another for comments). I've gone through my entire template and there is no code for Feedburner in it at all yet I have a Feedburner feed on the blog. And there are two older feeds that haven't published in more than a year and are not in the template either.

How can I get rid of the extra feeds so that my readers don't sign up for the wrong one?

I can post the link to the blog if necessary but did not want to appear to be trolling for clickthroughs. My blog is linked in my profile, its hosted on my own space and uses Blogger as its engine.

What on Earth does "coming out of it" mean?

Response by poster: When I take my URL and plug it into Bloglines to add a feed, it tells me that there are five feeds to choose from coming out of my blog.

I'm waiting on it to get synched up, but I just started with FeedBurner a few hours ago... supposedly, they migrate all your feeds into one (hence the reason I need to check back tomorrow).

Everybody else is using it, so I guess it works. I'd just go back to your FeedBurner profile and make sure you are up-to-date on everything. G/L.

In Bloglines you can claim your feeds which links those feeds to your account, and then you can tell Bloglines to just use the FeedBurner feed (or to not use it).

I don't think he wants a feedburner feed. It sounds like, somehow, a feedburner feed has been inflicted on him, and that's just part of the problem.

It sounds like it may be an issue of bloglines still tracking old feeds. It doesn't matter if they are no longer linked from your template. There are various autodiscovery techniques that some aggregators use (basically guessing at possible feed URLs, I think).

If I were you I'd figure out what the defunct feed URLs are, and then set up some apache mod_rewrite rules to do a permenant redirect to the URL you want to use for your feed.
