thrips in screens

How can you get thrips (or some other very tiny bugs) out of an LCD screen?
There is a very bad investation nearby (Cambridgeshire, UK), and they are crawling into our monitors. So far, we have two LCD monitors (one flat screen, one for a laptop) where tiny bugs have crawled in and died, leaving a little black body visible against the lit screen. It is very annoying.
Is there anything we can do to get them out? Compressed air? Shake them? Rinse the whole computer under the tap?
