Where can I get a George Bush doll, in the next few hours, in the Seattle area? I want to explode him with fireworks later tonight. posted by mildred-pitt to shopping (17 comments total)

Best. Question. Ever.
Maybe you could shoot this seller an email and see if you could pick it up today? They're in Redmond. posted by Ugh at 1:54 PM on July 4, 2006
On second thought, that's Pops not son but maybe they have Jr too. posted by Ugh at 1:56 PM on July 4, 2006
How about a lifesize cardboard cut-out? I know a lot of stores in the mall (and similar areas) carry these things.
Or a costume store could have a GWB mask that you could attatch to a body made of something flammable. posted by nitsuj at 1:58 PM on July 4, 2006
Have you tried Archie McPhees? Don't know if they're open today but that's a good place to start. posted by Bear at 2:15 PM on July 4, 2006
There is a toy shop in Downtown seattle, a few blocks from 6th and virginia (south and east, IIRC) that used to have GWB dolls and other novelties. I think they have a street corner sign that makes it fairly obvious they are a toy shop. posted by b1tr0t at 3:05 PM on July 4, 2006
I've seen a GWB action figure doll some months ago, in a hobby store in Richmond BC.
We were so very tempted to buy one, but we demurred because it was rather expensive ($60). The box art showed GWB dressed in military uniform, in front of an air craft carrier. posted by seawallrunner at 3:32 PM on July 4, 2006
Knowing this administration, burning Bush in effigy might just get you a call from the Secret Service. posted by nathan_teske at 4:28 PM on July 4, 2006
Yeah, they'll try to "infiltrate" you by offering to supply you with the fireworks. posted by j-urb at 4:50 PM on July 4, 2006
Thanks for all the great ideas!
I decided to make one out of cardboard and printouts.... not as exciting as a plastic GW head exploding - but highly flammable! posted by mildred-pitt at 4:57 PM on July 4, 2006
Soak it in alcahol. (maybe cheney would be better for that.) posted by Izzmeister at 6:29 PM on July 4, 2006

Posting in this thread so I get on the news when the Department of Homeland Security raids all "participants in the plot to blow up President Bush". Wah ha ha.
I would definitely be careful what fireworks you use. I guarantee you that a government official has seen this thread--that sounds REALLY tinfoil hattish, but you just know it's true--and using something illegal in your area would be a great excuse to nail you with something.
On reread, it still sounds like something Art Bell would say, but I can't shake the idea that it's sorta true. posted by Mikey-San at 8:05 PM on July 4, 2006
I think President Bush is a fine chap, and deny the existance all previous comments concerning anything. posted by oxford blue at 10:16 PM on July 4, 2006
Yeah, this will get on the news and they'll hype it up like it was some kind of deal:
FOXNEWS UPDATE
Terror plot avoided today. A terror plot to blow up President Bush was twarted by law enforcement in 7 states. Arrests were made in Arkansas, Nebraska, New York, Washington State, ect, ect... and now Neal Cavooto posted by j-urb at 10:21 PM on July 4, 2006
