Question: Keith's in the City

Beer Search: Does anyone know a place that sells Alexander Keith's Pale Ale in New York City?
In honour of Canada Day, I want to drink some Alexander Keith's Pale Ale, the problem is I've never seen it sold outside Canada. I am in NYC right now and would love to find some.

I am in Manhattan but willing to travel...

DBA in the East Village doesn't have it listed, but that may not mean a lot, as they import new stuff every day, and if you called them, if they didn't have it themselves, they'd at least have some more leads. No pub in town has more knowledgeable barkeeps, and their beer list has a lot of Canadian brews that vary from week to week.

The Peculier Pub has a pretty large beer list as well, as does Burp Castle (though they tend to specialize more in European brews).

Be warned: there is a possibility that you'll have an issue getting Keith's in town. You might have to make do with something different but equally Canucky.

You could try calling BierKraft in Park Slope, Brooklyn. They have all sorts of random imported beers.

As for specific beers, anything by Unibroue is usually good. Try Blanche de Chamblis, Eau Benite, Maudite, Don de Dieu, Trois Pistoles, etc.

Oh, don't drink Candian, or anything by Molson, unless you want to support the Coors family.

[expletive deleted] writes "You could drink a Canadian beer that isn't as foul as Keiths, which leaves pretty much anything else except Lucky Lager, or maybe Extra Old Stock."

Dude, there are plenty of Canadian beers that are far more foul than Keiths. Anything brewed under Labatt or Molson brands, Kokanee, Lucky, etc. Keith's isn't a great beer, but it's a perfectly serviceable one.

And of course, the quality of the beer being discussed had nothing to do with the question.
