Help me create a source image for a tattoo.

I'm thinking about getting inked with the ANSI standard warning logo. The best image I have found to base this on is here. I only want it in monochrome -- don't need the colored background.

Would this image be enough for a tattoo artist to create a decent bicep tattoo off of? Should I find one larger? If so... where? I've been unable to do so after an extended period of searching, even using the applicable ANSI and ISO standards for such things as search terms.

Probably the best person to answer this question is the person installing your tattoo. However, none of them need like 1200DPI postscript or any crap.

Here it is in black and white. Print it and bring it to whoever's doing your tattoo. If they want a larger version THEN go looking for one.

Wouldn't traditional sans serif lettering be difficult to pull off as a tattoo?

I have a tattoo on my left arm that's about 5 or 6 inches tall. My tattoo artist created it by taking a drawing that was about 2 inches tall, and blowing it up on a photocopier. Believe me, it looked really crappy after that. But he drew over it, using it as a template and adding his own detail as he went along, and the tattoo came out great.

I wouldn't worry about it. If your tattoo artist is indeed an artist, he won't have any trouble.

I second CrayDrygu. Any tattoo artist worth going to would be able to, um, just not ink the orange.

And what would make sans serif "difficult to pull off as a tattoo"?

Chk it out- i think you have to log in but they are pretty fun. I hang them up at work for, um, various reasons.

Either your image or aubilenon's should be fine, in my experience. I got this from a printout of this.

My answer's not any better than CrayDrygu's, but I thought the photographic evidence might help.
