Rice-free granola bars?

Can anyone think of any granola bars that do not contain rice?
My mother has an allergy to rice and anything related to rice (rice syrup, etc.). She's been looking at the ingredient lists on the granola bars and cereal bars in the markets, but she assures me that everything she's looked at includes rice or rice syrup. I've tried some Googling, but cannot find any granola bars that come up as specifically rice free. Does anyone know of any widely-available granola bars that do not contain rice or any of its derivatives? Do they not even exist? Ideally, my mom would like to be able to pick them up at a supermarket or Whole Foods, but if you have suggestions for online vendors, that would be helpful too.

Best answer: Not granola/cereal bars -- but, tasty nonetheless are LÄRABARs (available at Wholes Foods)

Response by poster: Oh, man, that Larabar thing looks great. Any bar-type thing is fine. Unfortunately, I am unable to bake or cook right now. And I'm pretty sure my mom wishes she just had something quick and easy and bar-like that she could pick up at the store with her other groceries. Thanks, everybody.

Best answer: On a hunch I checked an Atkins Advantage granola bar (scroll down for ingredient list) and sure enough it appears to be rice free. Since rice is notoriously high carb it stands to reason your Mom might have better luck checking out the low-carb versions of this particular snack.

Best answer: I second Larabars. I would also recommend Clif Nectar bars (a similar concept.) I like Larabars better though.

Response by poster: Excellent, thanks everyone. My dear mother picked up some Larabars today and reports back that they are quite good. She's planning on looking for and trying the other recommendations listed here. And she'll keep a lookout for Atkins and other low-carb bars; that was a good idea, nanojath.
