Cartoon History of the Universe software - does anyone remember it?

We bought this for my son about 12 years ago, when he was quite young -5 or 6 years old. He listened to it/watched it over and over and over. Loved it and learned tons from it. Loves the books today. My question is did they ever go on to make a second volume of it? The one we had coorespondes to the first compiled volume 1-7. We'd love to find 8 - 13 etc. I've googled extensivly for it to no avail.
Also, if it is indeed "dead" what are the problems with burning copies of the disk for distribution to friends and family? What about making copies to distribute to a larger group of people, and selling them at cost? (Thinking in terms of a conference we attend every year where there may be some people interested in such software for their children).

I love these books. You can get them through the author, Larry Gonick's website.

I love Gonick's work as well, but like jeffmshaw indicates I'm pretty sure they're all still in print.

Your son will grow up having good taste and knowledge to boot.

I know that the books are still available. I'm asking if anyone remembers/knows anything about the software. Here's a link to an article about it.

I've been looking for Larry Gonick's stuff on eBay for a couple of years, and I've never seen any other software. I suppose your best bet would be to contact the man himself.

I'd be interested in hearing what you find out. I'd love my son to have an interactive version of the books, too.

I absolutely loved The Cartoon History of the United States when I was a kid. Still have my copy around here somewhere.
