hydrophonic has some good suggestions. If you like Tania Maria, (Jazz inflected samba/bossa) I'd say that Maria Rita's self-titled CD from 2004 is a great place to start.
Also, you can't go wrong with Luciana Souza.
If you want more uptempo material, you could check out Elza Soares, who has a brassy voice and a huge personality.
