OpenOffice to Word Conversion Needed

How can I convert OpenOffice formatted files to MS Word?

I have several hundred files created and saved in OpenOffice writer with the native OpenOffice format (some OO 1.1, some OO 2.0). I need to open these files using MS Word. (You need reasons? OK. I've already got a full legal copy of Word and I've tried using NeoOffice on my Mac but it's too slow and self-confessedly buggy to be usable.)

I have access to Word on both Mac and Windows; I have OpenOffice for Windows; I have Windows and Mac boxen. What I don't have is the time to open each file in OO and "save as Word format. Is there a way to batch convert these files from OO to Word? Am I doomed to a day of "open, save as, close"?

Help me, MeFi. You're my only hope.

Here's a set of OpenOffice batch conversion scripts, including one to save as Word.

Will the document converter macro [source] work for you?

One of these solutions ought to do the trick. I'll take a crack at 'em and let you know what my results were.

Thanks!

While I know that OpenOffice on the OS X isn't as pretty as native applications since it relies on X11, I still find it to work wonderfully and find it far more useful than NeoOffice. Just saying, you can just use OpenOffice 2.0 on both computers as well.
