Men in Black/Chariots of the Gods type book from late sixties.

Whilst at school in the UK in the late sixties I borrowed a book from the local library. The thesis of this non-fiction book was that aliens lived and walked amongst us and could be recognised by a predilection for wearing black. The argument was presented in a fairly low key, rational manner and,if I remember rightly, the book was published by Gollancz in their standard yellow and black cover. Not a lot to go on I know.Something deep within me wants to know if it was good rubbish or bad rubbish.

This was the only "non-fiction" sounding book by Gollancz I could find that had the word "aliens" in the subject line of the search. Does the title sound familiar?

That sounds a bit like David Icke's stuff, although I don't think he was writing books in the late sixties.

That's pretty much all of New York City. :)

It was possibly They knew too much about flying saucers from 1956, in which Gray Barker popularized (and likely concocted) the idea of “Men in Black”. The book wasn’t published by Gollancz, but the original cover featured yellow and black.
