Port (?) on back of Vitamix

What is this port on the back of my Vitamix blender?

We’ve had our Vitamix 750 Professional blender for many years, but I just noticed a port (if that’s what it is) on the back of the motor unit. Image 1 Image 2

The manual makes no mention of this. Does anyone know what it’s for?

Best answer: I think it may be a "programming port." This programmer toolkit has a gadget with a similar-looking port on it. I think for programming you plug the module into the gadget, plug the gadget into your computer, program the module, then you can plug the module into the same port on the back of the Vitamix, which then alters the behavior of the machine.

(this is entirely on inference!)

Some Vitamixes accept an external control, like this foot controller. My guess would be that this is where it plugs in.

Best answer: I have a commercial vitamin model and it has the same port- it’s the program port.
