I have a .wmv recording that I would like to edit. I just need to clip off the first 45 seconds and last 30 seconds. How can I do that?

Use Audacity. Free and it works well.

Oh, wait. .wMv. I bet Audacity won't work on that. There's a list of free video editing software here.

If you have XP you can edit the video with Windows Movie Maker, it's very simple to use.

Are you on a Mac or a Windows box? You didn't specify.
On the Mac, flip4mac Pro will let you do that.
