A series of tubes.... But evil?

I remember reading some kind of fanfic or creepypasta about these transdimensional tubes that start appearing, containing fleshy material of some kind. People were trying to figure out what they were and where they came from. They had an aura of evil about them. I seem to remember the fleshy things being discovered in different parts of the world..... They say the internet is a series of tubes. Can someone help me find the evil, fleshy, transdimensional ones?

OK, this is a long shot, but I have faith someone in the AskMefi community will have come across the same weird stuff as myself.

I can't remember where I saw this. It seems like it could have been part of SCP Foundation, but I can't find the tubular fleshy thingies I remember. One of Torchwood's TV seasons had a similar premise about some kind of Lovecraftian or alien opening into the earth, but this wasn't it.

It's on the tip of my brain, but I can't get to it. Haalp!

Any chance it could have been the Interface Series? I remember there being weird flesh portal things in the beginning part of it.

Yep, I was going to say 9MOTHER9MOTHER9HORSE9EYES9 or something like that. I remember people were freaking out thinking it was viral marketing for Stranger Things.

If you can't get enough, there are also prominent fleshy tubes/cubes in Stiletto by Daniel O'Malley, sequel to the now-a-series-but-a-better-as-a-book The Rook.

There's also some episodes of the Magnus Archives that deal with something similar.

Response by poster: Thanks everyone!

For what it's worth, I'm not particularly obsessed with fleshy tubes (not especially, I don't think....). It's just that the Interface series was so odd and sui generis, it was a compelling story.

And thanks, nkknkk, I read Stiletto and The Rook too! Enjoyed the books, wished the TV adaptation lasted a bit longer. They always cancel series just when they get interesting.....
