How to buy a kindle book from the US for someone in NL

I want to buy some kindle books for someone in the Netherlands. I am in the US.

Kindle books from Amazon.com cannot be redeemed outside the US. After I make an account on am@on.NL I can’t buy ebooks at all, since it’s knows I’m in the US. Is there any way I can buy an ebook as a gift for someone in this situation? Barring that, is there any way for me to view the prices of ebooks on Amazon.NL so I can buy a gift card for this person and they can buy the books?

Here in the NL bol.com is a reputable way to buy ebooks. Available as epub. Through kobo, but you can download them as well. Unfortunately the site is in Dutch.
They have gift cards as well.
To view prices on amazon.nl I guess you can use a VPN to give the impression that you're in the NL. So you can view the prices...

Best answer: Opening amazon.nl in an Incognito / Private window allows me to see ebook prices. I don't think you need a VPN; it's likely that you just need to be not logged in to your US Amazon account.

If you can buy them in DRM free epub somewhere (the publisher's site may be a good bet), they can be sent to Kindle since this summer. Or if you buy them yourself and strip the DRM.

Not sure if it works the same in the Netherlands, but in Poland I have to choose a Kindle store and stick to it, I can't get books from various ones. Rather annoying when the UK store is running better promotions.

You can buy books from different Kindle stores, but you have to have separate accounts/email addresses for each.
