Vegan ice cream recipes

My friend has a new ice cream maker and is looking for vegan recipes- book or websites welcome!

She is a good, competent cook. I think she’d do very well with a good vegan base she can get creative with. She also enjoys recipe books - so if you have a vegan ice cream book you can vouch for, recommendations will be warmly received!

Best answer: Ob mobile at can't link but Serious Eats vegan foolproof ice cream is the only vegan ice cream I'll make now. So good and scoopable from the freezer! Only minor quibble is that it's a coconut milk/cream base so its not as neutral as say, an oat milk or cashew base. But the mouth feel/texture more than makes up for it imo

Best answer: I agree with the Serious Eats recommendation. But the way I have handled the coconutty taste is to choose flavors that imo go well with coconut, and for me those are chocolate and pineapple (used in separate ice creams).

Check out David Lebovitz, I bet his vegan recipes are excellent, because all his ice creams are excellent.

Best answer: Yes, David Lebovitz: I can vouch for his banana brown sugar recipe.
