Free MBTA on Earth Day '06?

BostonFilter: I'm annoyed that I can't find info about this online anywhere, but is the MBTA doing their usual fare-free subway and bus rides on Earth Day this year (4/22)? I'm having a housewarming party that day, and I want to invite all my out-of-town friends up early to frolic around town. Their Web site tells me nothing, nor does Boston.com.

It looks like they stopped (Google cache) doing that in '04 due to budgetary constraints.

Yeah, I doubt they're going to do it, especially since they're planning on raising the prices again soon.

By the way, Earth day this year is 5/27 (if you're talking about this event) at the Hatch Shell, not 4/22

Response by poster: No, I'm talking about the real Earth Day.

Thanks for the answers, all - I'll call the MBTA, but I'm betting it's a no-go.
