Women's waterproof mid-calf boots with removable insole

I'm looking for casual women's leather mid-calf boots that are waterproof and also have a removable insole. Ankle boots always feel wobbly on me, and I find tall boots annoying. I don't need full-on rainboots, but something like my trusty old UGG Lornas that I can wear in the rain with skinny jeans tucked in. Finding any shoes with removable insoles (so I can use my orthotics) is a real challenge! Would appreciate any recommendations.

Ariat might have something to suit, tho theirs might be too short or tall for you. All my boots from them have had removable insoles. I find their riding boots great for casual wear.

Back when I lived in snowier places, I had Merrels. I replaced the insoles with my orthotics no problem. This was however more than a decade ago, I got a men’s boot because I have wide feet and so they fit better, so I can’t vouch for their womens styles today.

I also had Duoboots, but those I loved more because they actually understand that women’s feet *and calves* come in different sizes. So for any boot higher than ankle they were the only option that fit. It wasn’t as easy to get orthotics into those.

In addition to Ariats (I have the Langdales and love them), there are several other brands of what are called country boots that are waterproof and great looking, too.

So as not to abuse the edit function, I'm adding that I easily removed the insoles and put my orthotics into my Ariats.
