Good electric shaver for legs?

What electric shaver really works well for shaving legs? Is it still possible to buy one that isn't cordless?

I have a Lady Schick electric shaver that's at least 40 years old that I am completely satisfied with. Nothing like it seems to be on the market these days. My daughter and I are not at all satisfied with the shaver I bought for her (this Panasonic one.) It doesn't remove hair as well as mine and it's cordless, which means it has to be kept on a charger when not in use, using an outlet and taking up space. If you may go weeks or months without shaving your legs, you want to be able to put your shaver in a drawer or something when you're not using it, but you want to be able to pull it out and use it right away when you need it, without having to plan ahead and charge it first. I guess a battery operated one would be less inconvenient, but one with a cord is the most convenient of all because it's always ready to use at all times, guaranteed. (Yeah, you can use the cordless ones in the shower, but who wants to do that? The whole point of an electric shaver is that you can use it without having to get your legs wet and soapy. If you're getting in the shower, you might as well use a razor for a really smooth shave.)

Do you have a battery operated or, better yet, corded electric shaver that removes hair from your legs quickly and effectively, without needing many passes over the same area? Give me a recommendation!

Best answer: I have this battery operated one, bought on a recommendation on the green. I've had it for 2 years and have only replaced the batteries once. I have fine, light hair on my legs and don't shave frequently. It also works great on mr jane's not very intense back hair, which we tend to a couple of times a year.

I'm on mobile so I can't link. Try the Peanut by Wahl. It's what professional barbers use to clean up necklines. Works great for other body parts too.

I used to cut my own hair and have a previous version of this Remington Vacuum Trimmer and it really makes cleanup so much easier. It's corded, so no need to plan ahead. I can also verify that it trims leg hair pretty well. The plastic guards can help you safely trim other hair to specific lengths in you are in to that.

I use my husband's Wahl beard trimmer on legs, pits, and nethers. It runs on two AA batteries that we replace roughly once a year. We paid maybe $20 for it at a drugstore a decade ago.

In case hair type matters (and I'm guessing it does, as I've had a lot of trimmers marketed to women do absolutely nothing for me), I have (copious amounts of) coarse dark hair.

Response by poster: I bought both the Peanut recommended by tipsyBumblebee and the Remington recommended by sarajane. I had high hopes for the Peanut. I really liked that it had a cord. But, sadly, it did not work well at all to shave leg stubble. The Remington, on the other hand, was fine (though I wish it had a cord and was not so aggressively pink), and it only cost $10.
