Outlook 2003 hangs when saving

I have a user in my org that is having trouble saving off her emails as html items.

She routienly saves project related emails as html items in her project folder, however, last week she began having issues. When she attemts to save the mail, the app hangs. The processor isn't being taxed and there is no major spike in memory. She just gets an annoying MS hourglass. She is using Outlook 2003 BTW....

Any ideas?

How big is her PST file?

Note: PST file size will only matter if it's an old Outlook 2000/XP file that was migrated, rather than a PST file that was created by Outlook 2k3.

Since E-mail is natively plain text, why is she using HTML in the first place? Does saving as plain text actually succeed?

Response by poster: She views and saves html by choice...it won't even let her get that far, when she chooses "File-Save" it hangs while browesing to the folder (local on her PC)...
