Why didn't Texas City go boom?

Okay, I like to laugh at the conspiracy nuts as much as the next guy.....but there was a post about some guy warning of a nuclear explosion in Texas City this weekend. I was amused at the time, and wanted to revisit his website and see what he had to say now.....but the post is gone?

Metafilter doesn't just delete posts, does it? What's the deal? And will Homeland Security be coming around to advise me to
forget I ever saw that post?

Yes, it does. However, they're still available on LoFi, though I don't see the post you mention after quickly skimming it. Also, in the future you should ask this sort of question on MetaTalk.
