Did he say "titty" in Russian? What?
April 14, 2006 8:51 PM

This video is ranked #5 on Google Video. What is he saying?

What happened that's funny? I don't speak Russian or Polish, or whatever language that is. But my interest is piqued. Whatever faux pas he committed, it must be a doozy. Can anyone translate?

Well, it's definitely Polish. The word that pops up after he guesses means (according to www.poltran.com) "weighting". I have no idea what the word he guessed is, though.

I don't know but I can guess based on his pronounciation. He guessed something that phonetically sounds like like "obciąganie " while the word was actually "obciążanie." In other words, he missed guessing the correct word by a single letter. On top of that Google reveals, "obciąganie" is something sexual.

The thing is, once you've "seen" a possible word it's hard to get it out of your mind:
B O O _ I E S
the word I'm looking for is "BOOKIES" but once you've seen another far more interesting word....

Hoo, man, that took some creative Googling. It appears to be a term for oral sex. Go here (then click the "HTML" link), and search the page under "cock-sucking."

Don't ask me why but I spent ten minutes working it out... it means blow-job/hand-job.

By searching on the phrase "zajecie wymagajace krzepy" (the title of the video), I found this Polish forum (warning, annoying flash popup ad, though the site is not flash). Interestingly Polish people ROTFL and LOL.

From the forum I found what he actually said was "Obciąganie". By searching on this I found an America/Polish slang site (and a shit load of polish porn spam), which gives the following handy translations,
"cock-sucking, dick-licking, sucking, blow-job, knob-job, head, cap, skuli, lip service, cock-worship, deep-throat, sixty-eight, 68 - Fellatio, pobudzanie penisa ustami (laska, lacha, lody, obciąganie pały, robienie loda, dawanie loda, stawianie pały, flet). The other guys were always talking about blow-jobs (Inni faceci gadali tylko ciągle o obciąganiu pały) - Mario Puzo . Give Jerry some cap (Zrób Jerry'emu loda) - Donald Goines. Blow-job, Americano? (Obciągnąć ci palkę, Amerykanie?) - Havana (film). He suggested I get down on my knees and do a little cock worship (Zasugerował, żebym uklękla i zrobila mu loda) - Yillage Voice."

"hand-job, hand-fuck - Ręczna masturbacja jednej osoby przez drugą (ręczne obciąganie pały, ręczne roboty, prace ręczne). If you were unlucky, all you got was a hand job (Jeśli miałeś pecha, załapałeś się jedynie na ręczne obciąganie pały) - Philadelphia. For hand jobs, use more soap for better lubrication (W ręcznych robotach używajcie więcej mydła dla lepszego nasmarowania) - Playboy."

Gah, foiled by verbosity.

Ha! I spent an utterly inappropriate amount of time on this question as well. Make of that what you will.

I picked up from the contexts of my inital search results that the word had something to do with oral sex. To confirm it, I searched "slang blowjob polish obciąganie" and found my link.

Slight sidetrack, but, there are enough people in the world who speak Polish for this to be number five on google video?

Actually, there seem to be enough people in the world who speak Polish AND are endlessly amused by someone saying "blowjob" on television.

This makes me feel a bit better about Americans and our Janet Jackson boob "scandal."

Well... How many hilarious polish videos get posted to google? I'd guess...probably not very many. So, given the narrow range of options for Polish people seeking hilarity via the internet, this thing probably swept through Polish inboxes a la "FWD:fwd:fwd:cc:fwd:fwd Yo!!! LOL!!" like a firestorm.

Is anyone else amused by the fact that this question was answered through guessing and Googling without input from a single Polish speaker?

Reminds me of "What is a hoe?"

junesix, I found it highly amusing. I never tire of using the internet for obscure and novel knowledge discovery... I was pretty confident the answer wouldn't be too hard to find, if so many Polish people are watching (and therefore talking about) it. Yet I am still consistently amazed with the ease at which it is possible discover information, which just a couple of years ago would have required great expense of time or money.

I knew my Polish-English Dictionary of Slang and Colloquialism would come in handy one day! Just to confirm what assiduous googlers have already discovered:

obciągać** [ohp-CHYOHN-gahch] To perform fellatio (suck off, blow, eat, give head, dick-lick, go down on, play the skin flute) eg Chciała mu obciągać, ale poszedł spać (She wanted to suck him off, but he went to sleep)

The two asterisks mean "extremely offensive." And no, I'm not touching that example sentence.

Wow, metamonkey, languagehat, thanks. Amrose, I was wondering the same thing. I'm guessing it must have been viewed dozens of times by a single person, or as they showed it to others. Sort of like the reporter stomping grapes video. When we first saw it my friends and I watched it four or five times in a row.

Oh, yeah, and metamonkey, I was so excited that the entry I was going to mark as "best answer" had an entire paragraph of dirty words for a blow job.

I just wanted to chime in that oDciągać means 'to pull away'.
