Where to blog these days?

I used to blog back in the early 2000s. Still have tumblr accounts for various things but - where do people actually blog these days? I really only want to post little weird things, occasional photos, and a link or two. Nothing fancy needed at all. Easy to use and simple would be my preference (no script knowledge or domain-name-buying needed). Suggestions?

Best answer: DreamWidth is the new LiveJournal, which was the easy blogging site back in the '00s.

Best answer: Actually, tumblr has made a comeback (all the cool kids are swarming back to it), so you might consider sticking with that. Other options include Wordpress.com, Blogger, Wix.

Best answer: I am loving Mataroa, which is hardcore minimal blogging: stripped-down interface, zero digital skills needed to run, supports photos and RSS and even has crude analytics. C'est génial.

Best answer: I've been blogging at my own domain since 1998. If I were starting today I'd probably start at Micro.blog
