Why won't Canada Post Snap Ship accept my credit card?

I'm hoping a real Metafilter person can answer this question. I can't stand the prospect of spending my entire day on hold, listening to bad music courtesy of Visa and/or Canada Post.

The question is simple, I don't know about the answer. I try to pay for postage online with Canada Post's Snap Ship, using a Visa card. I get this message: "We couldn't process your request. Please try again." I have used this card with Canada Post for years. The last time I used it I got this message twice, and the third time it worked. This time I've tried it over and over and get the same message. Any insights? Thank you!

It sounds like Canada Post is having internal problems. Try again in 6 hours.

Canada Post's online tools are always breaking... I have similar problems with their electronic customs form, it works only about 60% of the time.

Maybe DM their twitter at https://twitter.com/canadaposthelps?

Occasionally I have had luck just switching browsers when a website mysteriously rejects a CC. Firefox, Chrome, MS Edge, Safari.
