Food delivery gift cards in Berlin?

I have a friend in Berlin who is going through a tough time right now. I would like to support her by sending her something like a gift card for a meal delivery service - something she can use as she sees fit. I can use Google but I would like some tips from people who have used them before, if possible. Does anyone here have experience with this and have a recommendation?

Best answer: Lieferando is easy to use: not sure if they offer gift cards or not.

One of our kids has used UberEats as well - again, not sure about gift cards.

I think both operate in the PayPal universe and maybe through them can you get to some from of gift card.

HelloFresh is popular and I have used it in Berlin. They send you a box with prepackaged groceries and some recipes so you can easily prepare the meals yourself. For new costumers they have always discounts going.

Best answer: Lieferando does gift cards and allows for both delivery and collection. It seems to be the "standard" delivery service, at least over here in Frankfurt.

If she's having a hard time, I'd go for ready made meal delivery (which it sounds like Lieferando is) over something like Hello Fresh where you still have to cook the stuff. Ready-measured as it is, as someone who doesn't particularly enjoy cooking, I find even Hello Fresh a significant step up in the amount of effort I like to put into getting my dinner ready.

Best answer: If she likes Indian food she will enjoy Tiffin Berlin, which offers gift cards. I have also heard good things about Chi from Personal Chef Berlin. And then there is Prep My Meal, but I have no idea about the quality. All the above offer pre-made, heat-and-eat delivery with English language customer support.

I think anyone who has even a modicum of skill in the kitchen would find Hello Fresh infuriating and patronising so would avoid that. Also ready to eat meals would be preferred by the sounds of things.
