Online contact lens seller seems too good to be true

Need recommendation for buying contacts online or to gut check if this place is too cheap.

I have to reorder my daily contacts, I have astigmatism in both eyes and have a really high prescription. Most online places to order vary by maybe ten to twenty bucks per box, but I've found one that looks fine and the boxes are $80 instead of $100-120.

It's Contact Lens King if anyone has used them. Otherwise, I'd just like to get a good recommendation for shops people have used. I haven't ordered outside of my optometrist in so long but last year they first didn't order them for weeks, sent me the wrong lenses then made me pay extra after the fact... so yeah, I'm going to order online and do fast shipping.

Best answer: I've only used 1800contacts. They are fast and cheap, usually about half the price of my eye doctor. They are owned by Walmart (which should tell you something about low prices, and that they are a real company, downside, it's Walmart)

Best answer: My husband used them once so far, was pleased, and plans to use them again next time. He’d previously used 1800contacts but after they switched to a rebate model, he found they failed to issue the rebates until he pestered them a number of times. I’ve also heard that Costco is great and that you don’t have to be a member.

I used 1800contacts the first time I decided to buy my own and they were the cheapest option due to a new customer discount, but then the next three times Walgreens was the cheapest by a significant margin.

Response by poster: daisyace, he used Contact Lens King? Cool, that's mostly what I wanted to know is if anyone had used them and wasn't scammed. I have heard Costco is also really reasonable. Thanks all!

I've also used Contact Lens King with no issues in a couple of orders.

Try putting your brand and type into Google Shopping (fka Froogle). Some of the online stores put in super low prices to try and get at the top of this list.

You'll only get that price by clicking on the presented link, though. I regularly use OptiContacts and have gotten some pretty insane discounts this way.

I've used Contact Lens King a couple times. No issues. I have a strong but simple prescription.

Just to chime in, Costco is reasonable and they got me my lenses pretty quickly despite their being special-order.

I've used 393 lens for years with perfect results too, just in case you want to check them.

I’ve used contact lens king for years and years for once dailies (so a lot on contacts. Fairly strong scrip- 5.5 and -5, but nothing too funky or specialized. Love them and have never had a problem.

For you or any future searchers, saveonlens.com has good prices and is based in Canada but ships to the US from US warehouses. This means you don't need to prove your prescription or even have a current one, which if very helpful for many people in the US.

I have ordered several times with them and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
