How do I record the video feed from a web camera?

Help me find free (or inexpensive) software to record the stream from a web cam (like this). I don't have access to the camera on my network, so the stream is only available to me via the web.

I'm quite fond of CaptureWiz. You get a full featured try-out for a month, I believe. Download it and give it a whirl to see if it meets your needs. I liked it so much that I even paid for it!

VLC does the job very nicely.

CaptureWiz almost works, but it is only a screen capture, so I need to have the camera loaded and running in the foreground to record. I'd prefer to schedule the recording, or at least be able to do it in the background.

I'm also not having any luck with VLC. Are you able to record (or even display) the link that I provided Thorzdad?
