Help ID this mellow song with fast-picked acoustic guitar

I was out in the neighborhood, and I walked past an outdoor gathering near my house. There was a beautiful song playing, and I was hoping someone could help me ID it.

It was a mellow song with fast-picked acoustic guitar (probably more than one guitar), but the lyrics were sung kind of slow. It sounded like several male voices singing in harmony. I overheard a line that went something like, "Hey mister, won't you sing for me". Google doesn't come up with anything, so I probably misheard it. The guitar playing reminded me of bluegrass, though I don't think it was actual bluegrass. I'm not sure, but I think it was just guitars -- no drums or bass (I could be wrong about this).

I know that this is not a lot to go on, and it's a longshot -- but maybe someone could give me some leads, even if it's just similar songs that I might enjoy listening to.

Could it be some cover of “Mr. Tambourine Man”? (classic version by the Byrds)

Probably not your song, but in a similar vein try Naked as we came by Iron & Wine.

Response by poster: Thanks for the tips. Those are all beautiful songs. I'm not sure, but based on the overall style, I think the song I heard was by Mumford and Sons, possibly "Little Lion Man". On the other hand, the song by Hot Rize is also a contender. I guess I'll never know for sure. But all of these songs are great, and I thank everyone for taking a stab at it.
