Name that crappy obscure fps from the early 90s!

Did you play first person shooters in the early 90s? Help me figure out the name of this obscure and relatively mediocre WWII game based on the incredibly limited amount of information I remember about it!

Here's what I remember: It was set in WWII, and along with your life meter (typical scale up to 100) there was a silhouette in the corner that represented your guy. When you took damage it would affect the gameplay, so if you got shot in the leg you would drag in one direction if you were walking straight, if you got shot in both legs you would be significantly slowed down, etc.

It was really mediocre. It was a DOS game that came out around the same time as Doom, Blake Stone, Rise of the Triad, etc, so I think it was probably between 1992 and 1994. I think I only played the shareware version (if there even WAS a full version), but I remember that a good chunk of it consisted of running through some sort of crappy snow-covered forest (with like 12 trees in it) with log cabins spread out throughout the level.

Anyone? Any ideas? I've checked several sites and can't find any mention of it, but maybe that's because I don't remember the title.

Help! This is driving me nuts!

Wolf-3D never had "dragging in one direction" or a full silhouette. It had a face, but your performance never faltered... to my recollection.

I think I recall reading a scathing review of this game on SomethingAwful.com, so if nobody comes up with the answer here it might be worth a visit.

Response by poster: Definitely not Wolf3d. It wasn't an id game.

Looks like Terminal Terror. And Terminal Terror looks awful.

On reflection, that's a bit unfair, I was forgetting that Wolf 3D was state of the art at the time. The review is relatively positive.

Response by poster: That's it! Well, either that or Lethal Tender, the OTHER crappy game developed by that company. Thanks!

I don't think this is it, but parts of your description remind me of the Mechwarrior games, which are really just plodding versions of FPSs. They would show you, in a little silhouette, where you were hit, and if an arm got blown off then you lost use of guns on that arm, and so on.

Response by poster: man. they really should make a mechwarrior game set in wwii. i'd play the shit out of that.

Heh. Well, there is that.

Yeah, sorry, not what you're looking for.

I was thinking maybe it was NAM, but looking at the screenshots I don't see any body display.

(The only FPSes I know of with "locational" player damage and a silhouette like you describe are Deus Ex and the System Shock games...)
