How can I get access to legal records in Puerto Rico?
March 21, 2021 6:00 PM

I need to look up property ownership, death records, and if a will was registered in Puerto Rico. I've tried to google, but keep coming up with scam sites. Does anyone know the best way to access these outside of hiring a lawyer to do it for me?

Do you know the location? Start with the local government's website, not Google. A lot of towns or districts/counties/whatever have a central website with links to all the government functions. You'll need to look for tax offices and probate courts, or at the very least a local administrator you can call or email for guidance.
