Does anyone know where can you buy a jar of pimenta moida (Portuguese ground red pepper) in New York City? Preferably Manhattan, if possible. Thanks!

Best answer: Buzios is a Portuguese market in Midtown. If they don't have it, there are multiple Portuguese groceries in Newark, in the Ironbound (which is right off the train station)--I'd try calling them.

Kalustyan's has many different kinds of jarred chili pastes. I'm not sure they have any Portuguese brands, per se, but I bet they have something that's effectively the same thing.
