Help my daughter find gaming friends

Daughter loves to play Minecraft but has no friends who will reliably play with her on consistent basis. Being in 100% virtual school this year means she can’t meet new people. I know there are a million other kids playing MC -how can she hook up with some? She is 14 but various ages ok. She has her own realm Looking for kind, playing for fun, gamers only. Help!?!

Does she have a discord account? My son is about to be 14 and plays MC on Discord with other friends who have realms. He'd be happy to play with her and he's generally nice and not a complete nitwit...generally.

Yeah, download and get on Discord, teach her some basic online security, like don't reveal your age and how to call an admin for help. if she has her own relams then she needs to expand her circle of friends and issue invitations when she judged the person to be trustworthy.

My daughter says she'd be happy to play (also 14yo); she's got Discord as well so that would work. Feel free to send me a memail. Maybe they can start a young Mefite MCgroup, haha.

Have you asked like, your college friends or others who have kids your daughter's age or thereabouts? My kid plays with the kids of my college friends that he has never met, because we're all stuck in lockdown. So that's another way to find kids with parents you might at least know a little bit.

Just spotted this - my 14-year-old daughter has also recently picked Minecraft back up. I'd be happy to point her to a Discord group to play with!
