Need a non-sucky merchant account.

Any recommendations for a quality e-commerce merchant account services provider?

I currently use Authorize.net and Concord. While I like Authorize.net quite a bit, I am experiencing very poor customer service and various "gotcha!" type hidden charges from Concord. The reseller I originally used to establish the account, Merchant Express, has been no help whatsoever. I would like to replace Concord, and keep Authorize.net if possible. Can anyone recommend a company that isn't a total nightmare to do business with?

I believe that Authorize.Net has a service called "Integrated Payment Solution" which is both your merchant account and payment gateway all in one. If you have been satisfied with their payment gateway, it might be simplest to just have the entire transaction handled by them. Good luck!

Hmm.... I don't see any mention of that on their site. Maybe I'll call them and ask.

Concord is fairly stinky. If you've been in business for a while, you may well qualify for a much better deal with a company like First Data. I worked for a company called Merchant Warehouse for a while (and sucked at sales, I'll willingly admit,) but they've got a really good reputation and are as straightforward as can be with discount rates, etc.

You can, if you want, give Dave Isa a call at 800-749-2173. He was the best of the sales people there and always always followed up with his customers. Tell him that Kevin Church sent you and maybe he'll buy me a beer one day.

sorry, "Integrated Payment System" is what it is called by the reseller I've used. There are some pretty reputable resellers for Authorize.Net which can offer the package, you can try Wells-Fargo or look for local resellers - either way, good luck.
