web designers with strong accessibility experience?

Please recommend web designers (visual designers) with strong experience in, and appreciation of, accessibility guidelines. Drupal experience a strong plus.

I am a Drupal admin/developer/consultant. Some of my clients would like to improve the accessibility of their sites.

Drupal has pretty good accessibility built in, but some clients' sites have years-old themes with suboptimal accessibility due to things like too-small text and low-contrast color schemes.

I'd like to be able to recommend a few designers with solid experience creating themes that meet or exceed accessibility standards and embrace both the letter and the spirit of WCAG guidelines - designers who prioritize accessibility rather than treating it as an afterthought.

It would be nice if the designer or firm could produce theme templates (HTML and CSS) for Drupal 7 and Drupal 8/9, but we can get flat design files (like PSDs) converted if we need to. Familiarity with Drupal and its built-in accessibility features is a big plus, though.

Many of my clients are non-profits, so budget is a consideration (although we/they expect to pay appropriately for professional design work).

If your recommendation is someone you've worked with, I'd appreciate anything you can tell me about that experience.

Thank you!

Hi, don't know them, but I enjoyed their FPP today that featured a game that had accessibility features, and his bio mentions expertise in that area: Alensin.

Do you have a Drupal.org user account? You can get on the Slack workspace and check out the #accessibility channel - people there may have suggestions. I was going to recommend Open Concept / Mike Gifford but it looks like they got bought out by Civic Actions, and I'm not familiar with them.
