RSS reader recommendations - Windows / Android

I'm looking for thoughts from avid RSS consumers on the best RSS readers for Windows with accompanying synced Android app.

Right now I use Feedly and I'm fairly happy with it but I'm running up against some of the limits on the free version and before I covert to a paid tier, I'm wondering what else is out there. The last time I looked was around the untimely demise of Google Reader (RIP). The past AskMe questions on the topic date to that time as well. So I'm wondering if there's anything new these last few years that people are liking.

My requirements are basically ease of use in terms of setting up, adding feeds and using multiple times daily. Easily handles a few hundred feeds and makes it easy to categorize them. Easy feed discovery by pasting in a url or doing a keyword search.

I use Inoreader and like it quite a bit.

Seconding Inoreader, as someone who also laments the loss of GReader.

The free version has everything you want, the Android app is excellent, and the "client" is web-based so your operating system doesn't matter.

Nthing the free version of Inoreader. Only limitation for me is the max of 100 subscriptions.

Chiming in for Inoreader, which I picked up to replace Google Reader.

Inoreader. I have the first tier paid version which limits you to 500 feeds, just about enough for my needs, but above that it's unlimited.

I used Inoreader for several years and agree it's excellent.

I recently rediscovered Newsblur and it's worth checking out. The interface is dated and not as slick as Inoreader but it does the job. It meets your requirements and then some. Syncing is crazy fast.

(Honestly I might prefer Inoreader, but I de-Googled my Android and rely solely on open source apps available on F-Droid--Newblur is available there as well as in the Play Store. At the same time, I can't think of any feature I particularly miss/need that Newsblur doesn't have.)

Newsblur. Been using almost since Google Reader died, and love it.

Ya I love newsblur. Even paid for it. Android app. Kindle fire app. Windows desktop I just use the browser. Reliable, looks nice, works how I want, no bloat.

I've been using the free version of The Old Reader since Google did what Google does. No complaints at all. I only use it on my PC, so I can't speak to any other uses.
