SVG to DXF or SHP format for free? I've been banging my head against google for the last couple of hours and

the only one I've been able to find was AB viewer , but it consistantly crashes on export.

I'm on XP(SP2) with plenty a gig of ram and a speedy processor.

Can you open SVGs in Freehand? You could cut and paste into Acad from that, then export DXF.

Response by poster: I don't have freehand or autocad actually.

I realize (now) you say "for free", but: you can open SVGs in Illustrator and export to DXF. It's not perfect, though. If you only need to convert a few files, my emails in my profile.
