MedicarePart-D:North Carolina Plans--any suggestions?

Hello I have been looking at the Medicare-PartD drug plans for NC as listed on Medicare website. Other than going for the cheapest premium or cheapest out of pocket plan that covers my Mom's meds., I have no idea how to judge these plans. Anyone have experiences with plans in North Carolina? Thanks.
