Cannondale Lefty Topping Out?

How does one stop a Cannondale carbon lefty fork from "topping out"?

Cannondale recommend resetting the needle bearings, but this has had no effect.

I am not sure about Cannondale but air shocks have a valve that you can adjust the pressure with (and this is the important part) a SHOCK pump. Using a regular pump it is very easy to blow out the fittings.
