Super basic question: Where in Seattle can I 100% definitely find one or two turkey drumsticks, without the rest of the turkey attached, by next Wednesday? Thanks!

I've had great luck at Saars and QFC when I only want a turkey drumstick.

Pecos Pit in West Seattle. They used to be one of their rotating daily specials, but it appears to be on their regular menu now. You might want to call ahead for availability.

Also, seems the Pike Place location also has them, according to their online menu.

I expect that you will easily locate a turkey drumstick or two without having to resort to creative efforts but if they prove harder to locate down there than I expect.. you might try a store that is close to a marina with a substantial fleet of recreational fishing boats.

Here in Southeast Alaska our local groceries are almost never without turkey drumsticks for sale in the meat section because they're very popular bait for crab pots -- if you're a small-time recreational fisherman a turkey drumstick is about the perfect size and shape to zip-tie into a dungeness crab pot. The crabs will pick it clean in about an hour or two and you can just cut the zip tie with your knife and toss the bone overboard when you open the pot to sort the crabs.

There are always smoked turkey drumsticks in the ham hock section of every Safeway I frequent, but that might be unacceptable..

My closest grocery is a very small Publix and this time of year, it has them.

Turkey drumsticks come in big frozen boxes full of them; chances are, this time of year, most stores have a box or two in the back, so even if you don't see them on display, ask, and I bet they can dig them out.

Any of the Town and Country Markets have them.
