How to be successful Kickstarting a novel?

I've got some fantasy short stories that I'd like to publish. I'm inclined to make a Kickstarter and sell advanced copies to recoup publishing costs. This crowd-funding has been successful for other projects I've done. Does you have any good publishing blogs or books you recommend?

There is a lot of 'get rich quick publishing your book' garbage out there, which is worse than useless.

If my Kickstarter is highly successful, I'd like to create an audiobook of the story. Any recommendations for that process would also be appreciated.

Best answer: Laser Malena-Webber of the Doubleclicks wrote a book aimed at musicians, but I think there's valuable general knowledge there. They also do classes. Disclosure: Laser is a friend but they also have extensive experience with this for the Doubleclicks and running other people's campaigns, if I was doing a campaign I would go to them first.

Response by poster: Laser looks proficient. I suspect I'll find more relevant material in an arts/music based workbook than a tech or computer game book. Thank you.

I think this will be challenging unless you already have an established following/fanbase.
