EU creative writing programs in English?

Now that so much higher ed has gone remote, it occurred to me that I might be able to use my EU passport to take courses – or potentially even a whole program – at a European university with free or free-ish tuition, while still living in Canada. The courses would have to be in English, however. Am I just daydreaming, or does this exist?

To sum up, there are three criteria: (1) free or very cheap for EU citizens (German in my case); (2) English language (mein Deutsch ist schlecht); (3) remote learning OK.

Can't speak for rest of Europe, but at least in the UK it's your residency status that matters, not your passport/nationality so that could be a barrier elsewhere.

I’ve done some in-person creative writing classes at City Lit in London, which were excellent. City Lit is highly subsidised, and costs are very reasonable. Many of the classes have moved online- you can have a look here and see if anything suits.

Germany has many online programs for low cost and in English, but unfortunately the list that I've found doesn't include one related to creative writing:

Malmö university has a three stage creative writing in English course that is fully online (45 ects - equivalent of 1.5 full time semesters). Link to first course. It was taught by an American when I took it a couple years ago, and some students were native speakers. There's no tuition fees for EU citizens at Swedish universities.

You can also search for other courses in all of Sweden on https://www.universityadmissions.se, filtering by language (there's plenty of fully English courses in many fields) and whether they're fully online (remote learning was already well developed before the pandemic). All university admissions are handled through this website.
