Recommend me a Canadian based climate change focused charity

Most of the charities I can find are focused on conservation. While I support these, I'm more interested in giving money to groups advocating for political change. Only constraints are that they be a charity based in Canada.
Best answer: You may have difficulty getting a charitable receipt from a group advocating for political change.
There are strong regulations limiting the amount of "political" work registered charities can perform in Canada. All registered charities are required by law to have exclusively charitable purposes. An organization established for a political purpose cannot be a charity. The courts have determined political purposes to be those that seek to: (a) further the interests of a particular political party; or (b) support a political party or candidate for public office; or (c) retain, oppose, or change the law, policy, or decision of any level of government in Canada or a foreign country.
This has recently been loosened to allow charities to engage in public policy dialogue and development activities (PPDDAs) in furtherance of a stated charitable purpose. PPDDAs generally involve seeking to influence the laws, policies or decisions of a government. A charity is still prohibited from directly or indirectly supporting or opposing a political party or candidate for public office.
