Question: Resources on US nation building

I'm looking for some good resources and reading (books, websites, etc.) on U.S. propoganda and rhetoric in reference to nation building projects in the last 50 years (Vietnam, Somalia, Kosovo, Afghanistan/Iraq).

This seems a little, well, obvious, but you could try the on-line books and excerpts here.

A great resource, though I don't know where you would find them in repository on-line are old State Department briefs from the era. They are the primary source documents for the practices you are talking about. I have one about Vietnam, post French Indochine but pre-war.
