Looking for ideas for volunteering?

My workplace is allowed us to take a single day off to volunteer somewhere. I would like to involve my 4 year old son, if at all possible - even for just part of the day. I am looking for ideas for things that I could volunteer for. I'm in Ontario, where Coronavirus cases are (currently) low right now, but I'd like to avoid anything that would involve putting me or my son at risk (i.e. nothing at a hospital, nothing involving being in contact with people infected with covid).
We have a group near us that "glean" on a regular basis. Mostly on private property where someone may have too much fruit or an overproducing garden for their needs. Then the stuff is boxed up and donated to a food bank or shelter. Since all the work is outdoors and distanced, the right assignment might be a good option for you and your little one. The schedule isn't regular, just when we get the call (but they often schedule the work days on mid week, which would fit with your parameters).
