Posting XML feed directly to delicious

I have an XML feed which I want to automatically post into my del.icio.us account. Is this possible?

So when my XML feed updates I would like it to post its new link directly to delicious without any of my intervention. If I can set it up to add a couple of default tags too that would be superb... Any ideas?

Your best chance is to script up something that uses their API via http-auth.

Response by poster: Looks complicated. I don't know XML very well, especally not to build my own API.

Surely there is a simple tool out there that detects my feed has updated and posts it into delicious?

Where's the XML feed coming from? Are you using a blogging tool? You might have more luck finding a way to post things to delicious directly from the tool.

Response by poster: The xml is a feed for a forum I just set up. I can't post it to delicious from the forum (or i don't know how)
